Olympique Lyonnais returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over FC Lorient at Groupama Stadium, finally ending a difficult run of nine matches without a win.
The match was tight in the first half, with both sides struggling to create clear chances. Lorient came closest before the break when Bamba Dieng was denied by a brilliant save, keeping the score level going into halftime.
The game changed after the break when Lyon introduced Endrick, who immediately made an impact. Within minutes, his cross set up the opening goal as Roman Yaremchuk headed home to give Lyon the lead.
Endrick continued to influence the game, driving forward and creating problems for the Lorient defence. His attacking pressure led to the second goal, finished by Corentin Tolisso after a rebound inside the box, sealing control for the home side.
Despite late pressure from Lorient, including a disallowed penalty after VAR review, Lyon held firm to secure an important win. The result lifts them back into the fight for European qualification, moving closer to the top positions in Ligue 1.
