Kaizer Chiefs striker Flavio Silva has expressed confidence in his goal-scoring ability, insisting he can deliver consistently if given the right support from his teammates.
Silva, who recently scored in Chiefs’ 2-0 win over TS Galaxy, now has eight goals in all competitions this season and is aiming to reach double figures in the upcoming clash against Magesi FC. The forward credited the team’s improving form, with Chiefs currently on a four-game winning streak, as a key factor behind his performances.
Speaking openly, Silva made it clear that he does not see himself as a player who can create goals entirely on his own like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Instead, he described himself as a striker who thrives inside the box and relies on good service from teammates to finish chances.
The Portuguese forward also addressed criticism from fans, stating that he accepts feedback as part of the game and uses it as motivation to improve. He emphasized that as a striker, he knows he will ultimately be judged by his goals and is determined to keep delivering for the team.
Despite Chiefs’ strong push for a top-three finish and CAF Confederation Cup qualification, Silva admitted he is not fully satisfied yet. He believes the club is improving compared to last season but still has more work to do to compete consistently with the top teams.
Looking ahead, Silva remains focused on maintaining momentum and helping Chiefs secure another victory, stressing that every game is important as they chase their ambitions for the season.
