Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar remains in his plans for the 2026 World Cup. Speaking to L’Equipe, Ancelotti revealed that the 33-year-old forward has until June to prove his fitness and quality before the final squad is announced for Brazil’s opening match against Morocco.

The Road to Recovery: Santos and Beyond

  • The Injury: Neymar has not worn the yellow of Brazil since his devastating ACL injury in October 2023.
  • Santos Form: Since returning to his boyhood club in January 2025, he has shown flashes of brilliance. In the 2026 season so far, he has 3 goals and 2 assists in just 4 matches, proving his clinical edge is still there.
